What is depicted in the drawing is especially true of today’s China. In recent years, people’s passion for the civil service positions keeps increasing, and the number of civil service examinees grows year on year.
    Why do so many people want to try their luck in such a fierce competition? Firstly, compared with other jobs, a civil service post normally entails better payment, better social welfare, less working pressure and more stability, which seem appealing to job hunters. Secondly, with the employment pressure increasing, many people are forced to compete for government jobs at the same time.
    From my point of view, it is sensible to enter for the national exams as an alternative when people are looking for jobs. But you need to ask yourself whether you are suitable for the job before making decision.
