     (1) In the past ten years, as is shown in the bar chat, students’ time spent in library dropped tremendously from 20 hours per week to about 12, while their time spent on the internet soared from approximately 6 hours per week to 18.
     (2) Several reasons, I believe, can account for this phenomenon. First of all, the development of IT has offered us an easier access to the Internet, thus an increasing number of students have become the regular (3) netizens. Secondly, the Internet is tempting with its convenient availability of massive information compared with the library. As everything is at hand in a few clips, the majority of students no longer bother to study in library. Thirdly, it must be pointed out that the Internet also provides multiple entertainments extremely appealing to young students, some of whom, unfortunately, have become online game addicts.
