    Different people offer quite different ideas about the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. Many people assert that it should continue. They hold such an opinion because the CCTV Spring Festival Gala has been considered indispensable as a part of the celebration of Chinese Lunar New Year. People are accustomed to enjoying the grand sight and sound it presents.
    However, others believe that it is necessary to cancel the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. They argue that it is a waste of time and money to hold the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. Besides, the programs at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala have remained nearly the same all the years.
    As far as I’m concerned, I agree to continue holding the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. First, it serves as an entertainment that people of all ages can enjoy. Second, it is also an occasion for the families to gather, chat and laugh. Last but not least, it is supposed to be improved by adding more diverse forms of performances. In a word, the CCTV Spring Festival Gala has become a tradition of the Chinese people, and we still need it, but maybe a better one.
