    The picture depicts a typical Chinese man who is almost overwhelmed by the heavy burden of supporting a whole family on his back. What is strikingly noticeable is the expectant faces of his family members, while the pressure is beyond his ability and he is trembling.
    The difficult situation of the man discloses a prevalent phenomenon that has long existed in China. For one thing, nowadays, there is only one child in most Chinese families. So when the only one child gets married and when the parents get old, the young couple has to support both their four parents and their child with their limited income and energy. For another, as the pace of modern life continues to increase, the living costs, together with the price of house and the tuition fees keep rising. As a result, young people today have to be faced with more stresses.
    To solve this problem, I think there should be a succession of government policies to control the living costs and to increase the income of the public. At the same time, the government should pass some laws to guarantee and improve the welfare of the society. Thus the pressure on the modern people will be reduced greatly, which will also contribute to the construction of a harmonious society.
