    As we can see from the cartoon , a statue daubed with graffiti rushes out to ask a young couple the way to "the Office of Quality-oriented Education" because "he" wants to appeal to the authorities concerned to settle this issue. This picture reflects that in some Chinese tourist sites graffiti pollution is becoming an increasingly serious problem.
    In general, there are several reasons for the prevalence of this phenomenon. First and foremost, some people want to express their strong feelings, and some people want to release their stress. Besides, there are still others who just have a poor sense of public morality. All these may lead them to display such uncivilized behavior in public places, which greatly damages the enviroment of the tourist sites.
    I do think it is high time we took effective measures to arouse people’s social conscience to stop staining the tourist sites. For one thing, we should educate people not to scribble in any public places. For another, strict laws should be enacted to punish those who ignore them. It is a long way to go, and everyone should spare no effort to protect the tourist sites.
