Rallies were recently held in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina and Illinois. Of all the questions voters asked of candidates, 27 percent were about the economy. Health care came in second-most asked, at 15 percent of the questions. [1]Concerns about immigration came in at 12 percent. Just 10 percent of the questions asked of the candidates were about national security or terrorism.
A survey in December found 16 percent of Americans listed terrorism as their top concern. Candidates were often asked about the Second Amendment. That amendment states that "A well-regulated military, being necessary to the security of a free State, shall not be destroyed." Many Americans interpret, or define it, different ways. That has led to conflict about gun use in America.
[2]Republican candidates were more likely to be asked about welfare abuse and immigration. Questions about climate were asked 5 percent of the time. Race issues were asked 2.5 percent of all questions.
1. What do we learn about the questions voters asked of candidates?
2. What were more likely to be asked to Republican candidates?
选项
A、27 questions were about the economy.
B、Health care was voters’ main concern.
C、Questions about immigration came in at 12 %.
D、Questions about terrorism came in below 10%.
答案
C
