With the mobile phones’ entrance into the common families, the phone calls in the classes have become a hot issue. Some people consider it as a natural development with the economic progress of our country. Others believe that the phones are luxuries that will distract the students and do harm to them. What’s your opinion? Write an article of about 400 words on this topic. You should supply a title for your article.
In the first part of your writing you should present your thesis" statement, and in the second part you should support the thesis statement with appropriate details. In the last part you should bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary.
Marks will be awarded for content, organization, grammar and appropriateness. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in a loss of marks.

Mobile Phones Should be Forbidden in Class
In the past, mobile phones are symbols of luxury’, and only those rich people can enjoy the convenience it brought. With the development of our economy, cell-phones graudually gain its popularity on campus. They are convenient communication devices, yet for school authorities, it has become a headache. Phones ring one after another in classes, and short messages distract students attention and fuel campus love affairs. In my opinion, students should not take mobile phones to school.
First, mobile phone has brought disorder to our school lives. It distracts students attention in class. Teachers often find students playing with their phones in class. With most of them sending or receiving messages, someone even makes secret calls with earphones. This has brought teachers so much awkwardness that they usually require their students to turn off the mobile phones before class. The primary task of students is to study, and chatting in class will inevitably waste their time. What is worse, some students are exchanging some messages that are unsuitable for them, especially those pornographic ones. This will do great harm to the healthy growth of the students. In today’s college, it seems that the cell-phone is voguish rather than a convenience. Cell-phone owners ignore the existence of others. We can hear rings anywhere in public places, such as classrooms, laboratories, cinemas and libraries. Sometimes, even lectures are interrupted by rings.
Second, the use of mobile phone on campus is being diverted from its original function--convenience. For example, sometimes students are peacockish. They will try their best to "keep up with the Joneses". Some parents have complained that their children are always asking for a mobile phone of the newest style. The only reason is that their classmates have one. This will greatly influence the student’s view of value. Besides, students gain their money from their parents. The excessive demand of new types will increase the economic burden of their families. And sometimes when students cannot get enough money from their parents, they might seek other ways and some of them might commit crimes which will lead to another serious social problem--juvenile delinquency.
There are also other problems related to mobile phone, such as the damage to their health and the fact they may become the target of crime. Please allow me to make a piece of advice to the parents: take back your children’s mobile phone and give the campus a pure environment.
