Then, with more and more people coming and visiting and staying in the city, catering, entertainment, business and shopping in the city are profited tremendously. According to the World Tourism Organization, during the Expo, direct tourism income of Shanghai has reached 15 billion Yuan while the relevant industry revenue has grown by 4.3 billion Yuan.
    [6] Secondly, the massive construction of the Expo Site has [8] lured in a great number of investors and created lots of jobs for people in the city. As is known to all, in order to host the World Expo, Shanghai needs to further improve the city’s infrastructures. As a result, a large amount of investment rushed in to improve Shanghai’s roads, transportation, telecommunications, electricity and water supply and other infrastructure facilities, which at the same time offered massive job opportunities for people. Then, as investment increases and unemployment decreases, economy in the city develops better and faster.
