U.S. weather forecasters yesterday admitted that the deadly snowstorm that has swept along the east coast was a nasty surprise. "We’re really cursing those computer models," said Andrew Woodcock, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sterling, Virginia. "They had the low (pressure system) way out to the sea."
     The storm raced north along the coast on Monday and Tuesday, leaving nearly two feet of snow in places. Many schools and businesses across the east were closed again yesterday, along with all Philadelphia city offices and courts and most Maryland state offices.
