Armenia has charged 5 men with first-degree murder and terrorism in the death of the Prime Minister and 7 other leading politicians in an attack on Parliament Wednesday. Officials say if convicted they could face the death penalty. Meanwhile Parliament’s trying to organize a special session to elect a new speaker and deputy speakers. Also Armenia’s national security minister handed in his re4signation, joining the interior minister who stepped down last week. President Robed Kocharian has so far not accepted either resignation.
