The Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics is participating in the National Campaign for Politics is and Civic Engagement, a new effort to encourage participation in politics by U.S. college students, Diana Carlin, dean of the graduate school and international programs, will make a presentation on Oct. 24, 2004 during an initial strategic planning meeting at the Harvard Institute of Politics in Boston. Carlin will attend along with representatives from 11 partner institutions. Other KU representatives for the new effort include Barbara Ballard, associate vice provost for student success; Student Body President Andy Knopp, Manhattan senior; and Jennifer Donnally, Lawrence junior.
