In his 1996 book Creativity: The Work and Lives of 91 Eminent People, positive psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi suggested that "of all human activities, creativity comes closest to providing the fulfillment we all hope to get in our lives."
Creativity allows us to stretch out minds, do new and exciting things, and【C1】______ourselves in a way that takes us one step closer to reaching our full potential.
So what is it【C2】______ that makes a person creative? Are some people just born that way, or is it a skill that you can develop much like a muscle?
Csikszentmihalyi proposes that some people possess what he【C3】______ to as a creative personality. While some certainly come by these tendencies naturally,【C4】______ a few of these creative practices into your daily life might just help you achieve your full creative potential.
Creative people have a great deal of energy, both physical and mental. They can spend hours working on a【C5】______ thing that holds their attention, yet seem to remain enthusiastic all the while. This doesn’t mean that creative people are hyperactive. They spend a great deal of time at【C6】______, quietly thinking and reflecting on the things that hold their interest.
Creative people tend to be smart, but research has shown that having a very high IQ is not necessarily 【C7】______ with higher levels of creative achievement. In Lewis Terman’s famous longitudinal study of gifted children, for example, high IQ kids were【C8】______ to do better in life overall, but those with very high IQ weren’t exactly creative geniuses. Csikszentmihalyi【C9】______ that studies suggest that there seems to be a cutoff point at around 120. Having a higher than【C10】______ intelligence might contribute to creativity, but having an IQ over 120 does not necessarily lead to greater creativity. [br] 【C7】
选项
答案
B
解析
(correlated)选择依据有两个:1.上下文中提及了“聪明”与“创造力”并无必然的关联,如:those with very high IQ weren’t exactly creative geniuses和does not necessarily lead to greater creativity;2.be correlated with是常用搭配,表示“与……相关”,如:Physical well-being has been scientifically proven to be correlated with cognitive awareness and performance.
