    Roads in my life

    This my life,
    like a little winding road.
    Sometimes I get on the big highway
    where the cool-group is,
    but I like my little winding road.
    I see different things
    instead of what everyone does.
    The highway goes so fast
    you can’t see any differences in yourself.
    On my road you notice every little thing.

答案     In this little poem, the poet presents two different roads: one is the big highway which is taken by the cool-group and goes fast and in which you can’t see any difference in yourself; the other one is the little winding road the poet takes, on which he sees different things and notices every little thing.
    Compared with the straight and flat big highway, the little winding road is full of challenge and at the same time attractive. Take the well known story of Bill Gates for an example. He deserted his so called highway—the college to start a pioneering business. In spite of all the difficulties and risks exist on the road, he got a huge success. His success does not only mean the incredible amount of money he earned and the unprecedented business he built, but also his courage to take a different life. It is on this winding road that he displays his distinct personality.
    Life is but a shot journey. Whether it is colorful or dull depends on which road we take. As far as I am concerned, I would choose the little winding road to enjoy the scenery alongside and live a memorable life.
