    I am a student of our university, and my major is International Economics and Trade. I would like to be a member of English Club. The most important reason is that I am interested in English. Since I started learning it, it has become my favorite subject. I am learning English not only at class but also after school. I like reading English novels, watching English news, movies and TV series. I believe joining in the English Club is a good chance both to improve my English and to communicate with the club members who share the same interest with me.
    If I can become the member of the Club, firstly, I want to make a little change to the English Club. Because the club activities are often held on weekends, we have little chance to get the students involved who go home at weekends. So in my opinion, we can hold the English Comer twice a week: One is on Wednesday and the other is on weekend. No matter how many people Can take part in, it is an extra opportunity for the English lovers to communicate and make more friends there.
    Secondly, as I have referred above, I am an English movie and drama lover. So I can share some of nay reading materials and DVDs with other members who are interested in it. Also we can give some movie show to the whole students on campus on weekends so that we can attract more students to be interested in English and help them make progress in English learning.
    Furthermore, we can invite foreign teachers to our English Corner every week. With their help we can find our errors more quickly and we can know exactly the way English-spoken people think and talk.
    In a word, I really appreciate it if I can join in the English Club. English is more than a language, it is a kind of implement which we must have a good command of. And I hope more students will like English and be willing to study English as a hobby.
