   Recently, there is much discussion about whether it is the best choice for college students to pursue Master’s degree. Those who advocate the necessity of further study maintain that, in such a competitive society a higher degree will bring many benefits for graduates, more satisfying salaries, for instance.
   But those who oppose that opinion argue that it is unnecessary to compete with so many students in the entrance examination. And what college graduates need urgently is to hunt for a job and gain working experience. To
be financially independent is of great importance for students, especially those coming from rural areas.
   As I see it, the first statement seems more reasonable. Firstly, further study will equip students with enriched knowledge, improved professional skills, and broadened horizon, which qualify them for demanding jobs. Secondly, postgraduate can accumulate working experience by putting what they have learnt into practice in their spare time. Finally, as to the fee, postgraduates are granted allowance to loan money from the banks to finance themselves.
   In summary, it’s wiser for college students to pursue Master’s degree.
