    Recent years, more and more college students are eager to find part-time jobs in their spare time. As to whether it is worthwhile drawing much attention to the job from college study, people’s attitudes vary greatly. My opinion is that students should give top priority to academic performance while taking a part-time job.
    On the one hand, taking up a part-time job may help the students in many respects--stimulate learning more efficiently, explore the knowledge outside the books and even gain the financial independence. Also, the experience of taking the part-time job is a perfect preparation for the students’ future job-hunting competition. On the other hand, part-time jobs have strong negative influence on the students’ study. And the work, which often makes a student under strong pressure, can only be done at the cost of the time in which the students should study for themselves. It is evident that there is always a conflict between study and work.
    In my opinion, whether it is worthwhile taking a part-time job depends on our ability to deal with the relationship between studies and work properly. If there is a conflict between study and work, for a student, I think, he should put a top priority on whether it is a good help to his academic performance.
