Many states and local communities【C15】______this Federal aid. By the end of the war, in August, 1945, more than 100,000 children were being cared for in daycare centers receiving Federal【C16】______. Soon afterward, the Federal government【C17】______cut down its expenditures for this purpose and later【C18】______away with them, causing a sharp drop in the number of nursery schools in【C19】______.
