    As for people’s attitude to truth, Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle well deserves our admiration and emulation, who once remarked "Plato is dear to me, but dearer still is truth. " From my perspective, what is conveyed by the inspiring wisdom is that in the course of pursuing truth one should never surrender himself to authority but hold firmly to the truth instead.
    However, for the benefit of seeking truth, one should always equip himself with persistence and perseverance, as well as profound knowledge and confidence. For one thing, it is widely spread that knowledge is to truth what compass is to navigation. Without knowledge and confidence, one is bound to get lost in the process of searching for truth, which is like a drop in an ocean. For another, whenever one is confronted with even the most authoritative statement, he should always learn to question.
    Armed with extensive knowledge and self-confidence, combined with persistence and perseverance, one may very well arrive at the destination in the course of searching for truth even in the face of authority.
