    As far as I am concerned, our identity is defined by two parts: the history of our nation and the combination of our past experience. For one thing, our biggest identity is our nation, which tells the outside world where we come from and what kind of people we are supposed to be. Thus, its history is our legacy. For another, our past experience helps determine who we really are because it builds our characters, our values and our capabilities. Without them, we will be nobody but the mere existence in the world.
    In a word, since we all benefit from the past, we should cherish and learn lessons from our past.
