    I tend to keep a critical view of the saying that "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. " for it is a partial truth.
    Self-respect undoubtedly requires one to judge himself rightly. If not, it is easy for one to become either arrogant or self-abased. It is understandable to argue that feeling inferior is for lack of self-respect and thus constitutes a problem that demands special care, while feeling superior to the degree of being arrogant or refusing to admit one’s own weaknesses is also a problem because neither are true self-respect. True self-respect is to face that frustration bravely even when one feels inferior to overcome the causes of one’s inferiority. However, to judge oneself rightly one needs to use others or others’ opinions as a yardstick. For this reason, true self-respect has something to do with others, though people themselves shall be principally responsible.
    To sum up, a touch of feeling inferior is not unwelcome as long as you are brave enough to face it.
