答案    Why Do College Students Need English?
   Nowadays, many students claim that English seems to be not important after passing CET 4, or even CET 6, which raises an issue about why do college students need English. I have been inspired by this issue and here are my reasons.
   On one hand, most of our students seem to be unaware of its widespread use as the international language of diplomacy or technology. After all, we are still dependent on other countries for technical and industrial assistance. On the other hand, English is needed not only for the above reason but also for it’s a tool for our students to go abroad to learn the techniques our nation urgently needs. And English is the common language of communications for world diplomacy and economics, then let us be as fluent and proficient in it as possible, for the sake of our own country’ s development.
   In short, we cannot study English just for passing the examinations, but for the future of our country, the future of our own.
