    The TV music contest The Voice of China held by Zhejiang TV in 2016 has ignited a wave of TV shows throughout China, and other similar programs also have gained popularity recently.
    Reasons leading to this phenomenon are listed as below. First of all, in general, the young not only long for knowledge and experience but also prefer to follow fashion and project themselves. They are open and willing to try new things such as TV shows. What’s more, some pop stars have won fame from such contests, and thus their young fans probably want to try their luck in a similar way. At last, the increasing emphasis on competition greatly affects young minds. Young people are encouraged to display their talents through attending TV shows.
    From my point of view, various TV shows or programs provide good platforms for young people to present themselves and gain new experience. But they should not indulge in these activities. Otherwise, their precious time for study and other meaningful things may be wasted.
