    Man has a close relationship with the environment. We are living in a world which provides us with air, water and food. We can hardly survive if the environment is destroyed.
    However, what man is doing now to the environment may lead to the devastating results. Farmland is now over ploughed or occupied. Rivers and lakes are polluted. Trees are being cutting down. The air condition is becoming worse and worse. All in all, our society’s development has caused much pollution and destruction. Admittedly, the environment is facing crisis.
    Effective measures should be taken to protect our environment. Waste gases and polluted water should be controlled. Deserted fields should be replanted. What’s more, the most important thing is to educate people to realize the necessity to protect our environment. Under no circumstance can we sacrifice our environment for social development. Only in this way can man regain a pleasant environment.
