Dear editor,
    I am writing to report about the service that I "enjoyed" in a bookstore yesterday. I was in to buy the latest version of an English-Chinese dictionary. As I had lessons at 9:40, I paid and hurried back to school. The new dictionary really looked beautiful, well packed in a plastic cover. I opened it excitedly. However, I found, to my great surprise, there are two pages in poor print. I rushed back to the bookstore after class and asked the salesgirl to change one for me. But the salesgirl was very impolite, saying that since I had opened the pack, they wouldn’t take it back unless I bought another one. It was not her coneere whether I could make the print or not. I argued with her and even the manager, but in vain.
    People all say customers are Gods. Today I really knew what a God is. They may have their prescriptions, but they should have explained patiently. I have experienced such kind of treatment many times, not only in bookstores, but also in supermarkets, restaurants and so on. I’m writing to your paper, hoping that you will do something to improve the service in the whole service industry. China is a civilized country. I hope that every customer can enjoy the feeling of being a God in China. Looking forward to your action.
