    (1) Some college students at a local university hired a cleaner to do laundry and cleaning once a week and it has led to a heated debate. (2) Some advocate and support the idea and the practice. (2) They maintain that hiring cleaners to keep the dorms clean can help students save time, which they can spend on their studies.
    (3) Others, however, argue that hiring cleaners could help students save time and devote to their studies is a mere excuse. (4) Typically, college education is not (5) dominated by heavy loads of coursework and college students have enough time to manage their own affairs apart from studies. (4) Usually, those claiming they are too busy to do the chores are most often found otherwise (5) preoccupied with playing computer games or shopping.
    (6) Personally, I don’t think students should hire cleaners. (7) In performing the cleaning by himself or herself, a college student learns to share the responsibility for managing a public space of which he or she is a part. (7) And by doing so, he or she also shows respect for the common welfare of the entire dorm.
