You don’t have all these【B4】______hotels and stores in the city then. And no【B5】______buildings, either. Most people lived in small wooden houses, painted all white and pretty.

And then the tourists started coming—more and more every year. That’s when they began to build all those hotels here—each one bigger than the next.【B9】______
Of course, tourist money ’meant more jobs, but it also meant more roads, more ears ,more pollution, and higher prices.【B10】______? Did you know that we have the highest food prices in the U. S. ? And we’ve also got the highest housing costs. Have you looked in the newspaper?【B11】______. You have to be a millionaire. And they call this progress. Well, you can have it.
