Teachers will need considerable retraining to be able to create such situations. Furthermore, there will be a need to deal with teachers’ fears that such an approach will lead to loss of authority and status, and hence classroom control.
    Thirdly, the nature of assessment will have to change. Traditional forms of examination pressurize (强调) both teacher and student to focus on a form of exanlination in which passing the examination becomes more important than exhibiting learning. New forms of assessment (评价) will call for a new view of assessment by teachers, students and society.
