MEMORANDUM
TO: Producers
FROM: Lawrence Bash, Kitchen Hub executive producer
SUBJECT: Partial Viewers Survey Report
Below are the preliminary findings from the viewers’ survey carried out by the researchers of the show in April. A total of 2,000 local respondents participated in the online survey. It has only been a week since the research team concluded data collection, so we still need to wait another month for the complete findings. In the meantime, take note of the viewers’ responses as they might yield some useful insights:
Question number 1: How often do you watch Kitchen Hub?
Every week 20 percent
Once a month 50 percent
Twice a month 20 percent
Three times a month 10 percent
Question number 2: How would you rate Kitchen Hub?
Excellent 10 percent
Good 20 percent
Satisfactory 20 percent
Needs improvement 50 percent
Question number 3: Please rate the difficulty of Kitchen Hub recipes.
Appetizers: Easy 80 percent
Moderate 15 percent
Difficult 5 percent
Main courses: Easy 30 percent
Moderate 10 percent
Difficult 60 percent
Desserts: Easy 80 percent
Moderate 17 percent
Difficult 3 percent
Note: Most of respondents said that many of the main courses were difficult to cook because they required the use of unconventional cooking tools and equipment.
We will have a meeting tomorrow at 9 a.m. to discuss these findings. [br] According to the memo, why do viewers find featured main courses difficult to make?
选项
A、Their ingredients are rarely available at supermarkets.
B、They have long preparation times.
C、They are prepared with uncommon cooking utensils.
D、Their recipe instructions require professional skills.
答案
C
解析
本题是问观众为何(why)反映节目中登场的主菜难做,因此应定位至原文中提及题目核心语句viewers find featured main courses difficult to make相关内容的部分。原文中提到“Most of respondents said that many of the main courses were difficult to cook because they required the use of unconventional cooking tools and equipment.”,即大多数受访者表示因大部分主菜需要用到不常用的炊具和设备,因此烹饪起来比较困难。所以(C)They are prepared with uncommon cooking utensils.是正确答案。
