Dear Mr. deLacour,
I know this is very short notice, but I wonder if you can present the new prototype to the board members for me. The presentation is scheduled for August 2, but I have surgery scheduled for that day. I’m getting some kidney stones removed, and, unfortunately, the doctor isn’t available on any other day in the near future. The presentation itself will be quite simple since it is just going to be a presentation of the prototype. It’s more of a weekly update, not a big presentation.
You are the only person that knows about the project well enough to do this presentation with ease. You’ve been the head engineer of the XTP-3990 since the beginning of the project, and you came up with all the blueprints for every part of the machine. All you have to do is explain why we made the prototype and how it works. You will briefly demonstrate how the XTP-3990 works. I’ll attach my notes to show you how the presentation should go. It’s supposed to last about an hour, but I expect to be over in 30 minutes, even with the board members asking questions. One of the board members will be Mr. Isenberg, whom you worked with before, so he will be there to help you.
