As you are no doubt well aware, next Monday is the twohundredth anniversary of the newspaper’s first edition.
     (98)A special commemorative edition has been completed, and a skeleton staff will be on duty on Monday to handle any urgent news. This will leave the other staff members free for a day of special activities. We hope that all other staff members will participate as volunteers. There will be tours of the building, special exhibitions, movie screenings, and sales of historical books dealing with our wonderful newspaper. And finally, in the evening, you are all invited to a historic dinner(99)and ball which the governor and many senior members of Parliament will be attending. This will be a truly memorable event, so let’s not forget that we are all privileged to participate in it.(100)Thank you.
