   a．My first job. Starting a new job, especially your first, is very exciting. But after a while, most people find that they are happy to move to another, better job. I like my first job because it gave me the opportunity to learn about the different departments in a company and also a feeling of responsibility and independence. Responsibility and a chance to learn are very important in any job. I like my first boss. I’m pretty impressed with him. Knowledge is gained through experience of life as a result of the ability to questions, rather rote learning and passing exams. Many employers look for creativity, strong individual personalities who enjoy Working in team settings, and strong technical acumen or interest in technology- since they focus so much on technology—intensive industry clients.  They like people with intensity and ambition but who are not sharks.
   b．My first job was at a very junior level within a company and eventually I started looking for a new job because I wanted more money and better conditions. In my first job t often did a lot of overtime but only got a short holiday. Things depressed me. When I was in a low mood, my parents would cheer me up:“Don’t worry.  Things will soon improve.”The best advice is to find out as much as you can in your first job—and enjoy it too! I feel I have to respond to a business opportunity.
   c．My first job was with a large international company. They have a trainee program for people from university and, well, that was my first job, trainee-marketing manager. The program lasted about eighteen months. During that time I worked in different departments-in Personnel, Purchasing, Marketing and such things. I also went out with the sales representatives to visit customers. I enjoy it. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do when I left university, so it was good to see what the different departments did. It was really practical. Work hard and be serious about your job. You must experience all the joys and struggles of creating art before you can empathize with your clients. Also, I found the company a friendly environment to work in; there were nice people and very happy clients.
   d．I served as a secretary after graduation from college. It sounds interesting. But it was very badly paid. I did the same work as other people. I felt I was earning very little in my first job. I think a lot of the trainees feel they are a cheap source of labor. I felt I had reached the age for a career change. So I found a new job. I learnt a lot from my first job. And found out what I really wanted to work. I have come to realize that job ’of work was something that you have to do even if you do not enjoy it. Also, be friendly and open. Don’t be arrogant. Show an interest in operations and in implementation.
   e．My first job was a summer au-paring girl. The chance to spend a summer au-paring in urban area, caring for two children under three. I arrived my new home was a rambling farmstead surrounded by acres of untamed garden. My family was extremely welcoming and things were going fine until I met the kids, who eyed me with deep suspicion.
   I worked four days a week and spent my leisure time cycling along the country lanes and swimming in the Baltic. Mercifully, I didn’t have to cook for the children, just re-heat food that their mother had prepared. I wasn’t overworked or neglected and was always invited along on family trips out-and my pay was about $300 per week.
   Before becoming an au-pair, I’d never worked with either animal or children, and had certainly never changed a nappy. I may not have influenced my young charges to develop a love of English language but I managed not to break a fragile infant trust of strangers.  And we had fun. I learnt to be adaptable and responsive ina wide variety of situations and I discovered a dormant maternal streak.  Above all, I learnt the wily arts of negotiation and compromise-I’ve never made so many deals. Not bad considering the projectile vomiting, the food fights and the tantrums. And that was just I. The kids were all right though.
