   Candidate A: Maybe. I’m not sure. Some would agree that e-commerce, on a broad level, will change the basis of competitive advantage in retailing. The essential mission of retailers getting the right product in the right place at the right price at the right time—is a constant. But over the years retailers have fulfilled that mission differently thanks to a series of disruptive technologies. I believe you would like to identify patterns in the way that previous retailing transformations have unfolded to shed light on how retailing may evolve in the Internet era.
   Candidate B: I think conventional retail outlets will surely decline but will not vanish in the foreseeable future, because many people still like going to shops and buying things there. Some even like window-shopping. They like looking at goods and people at shops. Some others always try to show off in the public eye. Especially, young women like going to super-markets to show how smart, cool or beautiful they are so that other people will admire them.
