The purpose of the report is to describe the current schedule of our production and the problems we found as well as to summarise some beneficial measures. Production in our department is not very smooth recently, with output declined by about 5%, and defective rate rose by 2%. Worse still, the two important orders are not able to be finished in time due to the current slow production progress.
The following areas of concerns have been highlighted after a thorough investigation into the production. First, some new group leaders lack experiences in management, which leads to poor assignment of tasks. Second, some newcomers are not skillful enough to operate the machines. Third, some workers are just doing their own job and can’t coordinate with each other effectively.
It is recommended that a series of measures should be taken to increase production and speed up the current progress. In the first place, the incompetent group leaders should be changed with competent ones. In the second place, workers should be trained for operating the new machines and learn to coordinate with each other smoothly. Only through this way can our company speed up the production progress and make more profits in the future.
