I: A, where do you come from?
A: I come from Hangzhou.
I: Can you tell me something about your hometown, A?
A: Well, first of all, I was born in the city, but moved to the outskirts of bown when I was small. Hangzhou is a fairly large city—a pretty important economic centre actually. It has a population of 3 million. It’s pretty flat, and is situated right on a large lake.
I: What do you think is the most problem in China, B?
B: I guess it is the overpopulation. Although China has been carrying out a strict family-planning policy with one family having only one child, the population is already over 1.2 billion and is still growing. It causes not only the shortage of food and shelter supply but also more serious ones such as unemployment, crimes, the lack of education and so on.
I: Are you working or still studying? How do you feel it?
B: I work as teacher in a high school. In my work, I learned how to communicate with my associates, interpersonal relations can be essential to a prospective teacher.
I: What’s your job, A?
A: I’m a finance manager.
