F: Hello, I’m phoning about your advertisement in yesterday’s Daily News.
M: Yes, of course. Can I just take down some details? Your name is... ?
F: Duffy, Mrs Liz Duffy.
M: Thank you. And could you tell me what you do, Mrs. Duffy?
F: I’m a shop owner. I’m interested in your advertisement for shop premises.
M: I see. And were you looking for anything in particular?
F: Yes, I’m looking for something in the city centre.
M: And what sort of time period you’re hoping to rent for, Mrs. Duffy?
F: I don’t want anything for less than 5 years. It needs to be at least a five-year lease.
M: OK. I’ve got that. Now could you tell me what your top figure is for the rent?
F: Um. I don’t really want to pay more than a thousand pounds a month.
M: I see. Now I think that we may have a couple of things that you’ll be interested in.
M: Are there any other details?
F: Ideally I’m looking for a shop which also has some living accommodation. I realize this isn’t always possible. So you could still send me information about suitable premises without.
M: Fine. I’ll see what we have on our files and I’ll get something in the post to you today. If I could just have your current address.
