Woman: My company is planning to set up a factory in New York. And I am asking for some information about the process we will have to go through.
Man: Well it is not very complicated. To begin with, you’re required to do some paperwork.
Woman: Oh?
Man: Yes, you’ll have to submit some documents.
Woman: What kind of documents?
Man: The first document you’ll have to hand in to us is your application.
Woman: What information shall we provide in the application?
Man: There is some information you are to furnish in this document including a brief introduction of your factory, the reason why you intend to establish a factory in New York, the number of the staff you are dispatching to the factory, business titles of those people, as well as the name, business lines, duration of lease and location of the factory.
Woman: Shall we submit the application in the name of the firm or an individual person?
Man: This document is supposed to be signed by your company manager, or your president, whatever his or her business title is.
Woman: That’s the business license, isn’t it?
Man: Yes.
Woman: Shall we provide the original copy?
Man: Sure.
Woman: The third one?
Man: You’re required to give us a statement written by your banks regarding the credit and financial status of your company.
Woman: Do we have to hand in any documents regarding the personnel working for the company?
Man: Yes. Each representative is required to submit a letter of attorney and a resume, both originals; and a photocopy of his or her identity card.
Woman: Who is required to sign the letter of attorney?
Man: Your manager himself is to work as the chief representative of the company.
Woman: I see. And that one is about the individual representative.
Man: Yes, this form must also be filled out in two copies for each person.
Woman: Is that all?
Man: Yes, basically you’ll have to hand in the documents I’ve mentioned, but, if more paperwork is required, we’ll let you know.
