If communication is the lifeblood of an organisation, then periodical business meetings are the soul.
In the meeting, we exchange our ideas, talk over important issues, and make big decisions about the directions and guidelines of the company. We can even share our interests and passions for life, get to know each other and make-more friends. That’s what it’s all about, people meeting with people.

If someone asks me about this, I won’t hesitate to give my opinion. However, if I’m not asked, I will keep quiet on this matter. Though my colleagues and I get together now and then to interact with one another, to tell you the truth, I don’t contribute to either.
A big mistake. Had I taken part vigorously in the meeting, I would have felt more involved rather than like someone on the outside looking in.

Development Research Centre shows that executives on average spend 30% or 40% of their working hours in business meetings. However, an organisational psychologist even advises corporate clients to hold twice as much meetings as they do now.
We need to have more meetings to discuss and make decisions. There are more than enough meetings to go around these days, and for good reason. Meetings has never been more important than today.

Recent studies have shown discouraging news: as much as 50% of the meetings are unproductive and fruitless and up to 25% of the meeting time is spent discussing irrelevant issues.
Some of the participants complain that meetings are too long and too boring. Some says they don’t make a good preparation for the meeting and sometimes can’t follow the meeting. The chairman confesses that they are not able to make everyday meetings inspired and rejuvenated. We always expect good seminars and conferences which are organised precisely to reap rich fruits.
