答案      This proposal provides some suggestions for the redistribution of our supermarket stock clerks.
      Table 1 indicates that our staffing levels at Food & Grocery and Jewellery & Watches are basically satisfactory,but that more stock clerks are needed in two other departments: Clothing and Footwear & Leather. Sales of shoes and other leather goods have increased more than tenfold over the last two years,while consumer needs for clothing have risen to 55% and will keep expanding. The present distribution of stock staff in these two departments (5% each)is clearly out of proportion, especially when compared to staff levels in Consumer Durables.
      Based on the fact that Consumer Durables is clearly overstaffed, it is suggested that some 50% of these stock clerks be transferred to the Clothing and Footwear & Leather Departments so as to double their present numbers.
