    Today, there is a discussion that whether China is ready for E-education, which is conducted in the environment of the Internet. We know that, since the reform and opening up of China in 1978, China’s economic and political environments have undergone earth-shaking changes. The quality of China’s population has been greatly improved. The scientific and technological level of China leave the world with admiration. Coming into the 21st century, facing the advent of knowledge-based economy, we will be more ecstatic.
    However, do our strengths really show that we are ready for E-learning? After careful consideration, we find that we are not ready yet. First of all, our economic development is very uneven. There is a great difference between the western region and the eastern region. Such a situation leads to poor allocation of resources. We are very clear that people living in the city can use more of the national resources, while in rural areas, residents will not enjoy.
    For another thing, the Internet environment and the Internet regulation system is defective. Along with the flourish of the information technology, computer games, violence contents and network crimes all companied with it. E-education, which may be established on the Internet, would face a problem of leading to no progress of the being educated if there is no effective regulation on the network behavior or healthy internet-tied mechanism.
    In conclusion, China is not ready for E-education at present. This pattern of education could not be realized until the establishment of healthy internet-tied mechanism and the even development of economy are realized.
