    The sport spirits is the celebration of the human spirit, body and mind, and is characterized by the following values: ethics, fair play, honesty and health. It is also the essence of Olympism. As Chinese people, we are all proud that Beijing will host the Olympic Games in 2008. Actually, it’s a great chance for the world to know more about China. And it is a golden opportunity for us to show Chinese traditional virtue and spirits to the whole world.
    As the host of the Olympic Games, our mass media should objectively report competition results without regard to race, religion, creed, color and national origin. They should not place too much emphasis on the political meaning of a match result. In terms of athletes, they should learn to respect and to cooperate with people from many nations during the Games. Whether they win or not, their strategy should always keep a low profile. As the audiences, we should show that Chinese are very hospitable and kind-hearted. When the foreign athletes won the game, we should congratulate on them for their excellence in performance. If they lose, we should encourage them instead of laughing at them. We also should friendly receive Japanese athletes and visitors.
    "One world, One dream" is the slogan for the Beijing 2008 Games. It reflects that Chinese people wish to build peaceful and harmonious world hand in hand with the people from the rest of the world. It also demonstrates the Chinese virtues of cooperation and teamwork.
