The Negative Effect of the Cell Phone
Over the past few years, the cell phone has become the most popular gadget in China. It is estimated that there are nearly one billion cell phone users in China alone. There is no doubt that the cell phone is a quite useful modern convenience. However, its negative effect is no small matter at all.
To start with, the cell phone poses a potential hazard to a child’s health. Despite the lack of compelling evidence, the radiation from the cell phone is believed to impair the child’s brain. So a child should avoid using the cell phone whenever possible. Secondly, the cell phone has become an overwhelming distraction for students, who are likely to send text messages at class, play video games on it and even use it as a means of cheating on a test. Excessive use of the cell phone is not only bad for their sight, but induces some disease.
Thirdly, the cell phone has come to be much of a nuisance. Users often receive junk or deceptive text messages a day. Some companies go so far as to use the cell phone as a means of advertisement.
There are other negative effects to the cell phone. However, we have to admit that its benefits outweigh its harm. What counts is to use it properly in order to ensure your mental and physical health.
