   The speed of modernization today is even faster than before. There is no doubt that tradition should be reserved. On the one hand, some people hold that tradition is the essence of our long and deep history, and thus it should be followed. On the other hand, we should keep our own traditional characteristics as a culture, so that we can find our own position in a world of cultural diversities.
   However, others hold that it is worthwhile to abandon tradition for modernization. For one reason, they take history as a linear course moving forward, and outdated notions must be timely got rid of. For another, they believe that modern civilization is more important, and should be realized at any cost.
   As for me, I think we should sort out the universal truths in our traditions and stick to them. But, we should also selectively get rid of some outmoded traditions for modernization.
