答案     An old watch which was once owned by my grandfather is still kept with care in our house. The watch actually belongs to my great grandfather. So, in a way, it’s kind of an heirloom.
It’s a gold mechanical watch. It’s not different from any other ordinary watch except that diamonds are embedded around the dial. The hands are made of gold, so are the watchstraps. It looks so pricey and valuable. This is amid the old objects my grandfather kept with him when he was a doctor. After my grandfather’s death, my father took one of his used tables, an armchair, some of his books and this watch in remembrance of him. Among those things, this gold watch survives and is still kept in our bookshelf.
    The watch is more than 130 years old and we have kept it on our shelf for the last 20 years. The caretakers sometimes bring it out to dust it, or take it to the professional to wind it, and then put it back to the shelf again. I once wore it when I was young. It’s so heavy and wearing it demands great caution. So, basically, we just leave it on the shelf, none of my family ever put it on a-gain.
    My family has kept the watch in memory of my grandfather. My grandfather was very beloved by my father and I’m sure my father holds him in high regard. The watch is the only tangible property my father has of him. Though we don’t use that watch any more, it’s still priceless to our family, because it reminds us of the precious memory of our grandfather.
