Many big cities in China, especially those in the north of China, have experienced severe smog. The level of PM2.5 has even reached an astonishing 300 in many cities such as Beijing and Tianjin. This means that it’s extremely bad for people to breathe in such air. In the south of China, smog isn’t that severe. Deforestation is one of the most serious environmental issues facing cities in this region. Deforestation further causes problems such as floods, droughts and acid rain.
