However, in real life, women are paid less than men for the same job. For example, in Hollywood, leading actresses are generally paid 20% less than their male counterparts. The gender pay gap has attracted much attention since 2017 when actresses voiced their protests and the media started looking at the issue. I think the gender pay gap widely exists in many other industries and we should take it seriously and offer solutions.
