答案     How to finance the increasing costs of healthcare and education has become a major concern to many. While some insist that they should be provided by governments for free, others think otherwise, holding that it is not the responsibility of the government. Generally, I believe that government should cover some part of the bills at least.
    A sound health care system and quality education for its citizens are fundamental and essential to the well-being of a country, so they should be among the top priorities of a government’s agenda, along with other issues such as sovereignty and national security etc. That is to say that the government has the responsibility to take care of its people in terms of their health and education.
    It is also true that the budget of the government is not unlimited, and there are simply too many issues that need to be dealt with and paid for. It is imaginable that taxes will definitely be raised if all the costs of public healthcare and education are paid by the government. This is especially true in some developing countries with huge populations. Obviously, too much taxation imposed on individuals is not justified.
    Therefore, I think a good way to take care of this issue is that part of the healthcare cost and education fees are covered by the government, especially for those economically disadvantaged people and families. At the same time, quality private healthcare and education systems should be encouraged and monitored by some legislation and authorities to make sure that most kinds of medical and educational demands are met while government’s finite budget will not be exhausted.
    To conclude, the government has an indispensible role to play in developing a healthy and educated society, but the financial burden on its shoulder should not be neglected.
