W: But, hang on. That’s not possible, is it? I mean, it would just melt!
M: It does. They have to rebuild it from top to bottom every summer, with a brand-new design. So
the online ad said.
W: You’ re joking.
M: No, it’s true. But in the winter it’s minus nine or something.
W: So how come you didn’t freeze to death?
M: We nearly did. Bet me tell you, it was like an igloo in there. And that’s putting it mildly. But let’s just say we’d had plenty of time to warm us up in the bar before we went to bed!
W: It’s got a bar?
M: Of course it has. Believe me, you need a few vodkas in you if you’re going to stay in a place like that.
W: I can imagine.
M: And they even make their cocktail glasses out of ice, so you don’t need any in your drink.
W: Now, you’re having me on.
M: No. it’s true. I’m not exaggerating. All the glasses are made of ice.
W: Amazing! But it doesn’t sound like the sort of place I’d want to stay in.
M: Actually, it wasn’t that bad once you got used to it. And it was great at night, lying in bed under a reindeer skin, looking up at the Aurora Borealis lighting up the midnight sky. Talk about spectacular; it was out of this world! And, you’ll never believe who we bumped into in the bar one night.
W: Who?
M: Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.
W: Oh, come on! You mean the models?
M: Yeah, apparently, it’s a really trendy place, this Ice Hotel. It’s where all the cool people go.
W: Yeah, very funny! So you’d recommend it then?
M: Yeah, I would, but make sure you take a bottle of something strong with you, if you know what I mean.
