A tropical storm warning is in effect for the Island of Bermuda as Hurricane Bertha continues to chum in the Atlantic. The Category 1 storm is expected to dump up to two inches of rain as it passes by the south and east of the island. [10]In the meantime, the fifth named storm of the season, Elida, has formed off the Pacific coast of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center says Elida is packing winds of nearly 40 miles per hour and is about 400 miles southeast of Acapulco.
