    Criticism is a necessary component dunng one’s lifetime, which can’t be avoided in our daily work and study. Some people emphasize the significance of criticism and believe it is a powerful incentive to perfect one person, while others highlight the efficacy of its negative effects to far exceed that of its positive effects.  As for my view, the former proposition is more reasonable than the latter.
    First of all, the courage to accept criticism keeps one powerful inside. It is normal for people to be subject to criticism. Confusing criticism with defeat, one is doomed to feel frustrated and will easily fail in many situations. Actually, it isn’t criticism that makes you fail. Instead, your own fear and refusal to admit mistakes make everything worse. Criticism and adversity make a man wise and heart strong. Factors such as self-confidence and ambition, combined with determination and willpower, contribute to eventual success. If you try to learn something from others’ criticism and then to analyze the problem, your strong heart will be built, which helps you to form a positive attitude and provides you with great courage to face a series of challenges later.
    Further, I hold the view that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well, and recognizing the problem is the first step in solving it. We should appreciate anyone who puts forward criticism, which means we win one more opportunity to correct the errors. In accordance with an old Chinese saying, a good medicine tastes bitter. Obviously, it is not easy to accept criticism, but in order to find out our shortcomings and inadequacies, we should take others’ criticism seriously, instead of feeling annoyed or turning a deaf ear to it. Every success achieved by analyzing criticism is more meaningful, because it gives us new and greater strength to achieve the final goals and avoid the same mistakes in the future.
    In a nutshell, criticism is as good as bitter medicine and should be valued highly. A person who can accept criticism modestly will stand a better chance of success, because on the one hand, he has learned how to keep a strong inner world to face all the challenges, and on the other hand, being perfect in every single field is the final result of avoiding the same mistakes.
