    The aging of population can be seen from the increase in the population’s mean ages, which means the decline of the proportion of the population of children. As regards for China, citizens over 60 will rise to 31 percent of the whole population by 2050. The problems caused by the aging of population in our country are very serious.
    The problems of the aging of population are mainly manifested in two aspects. Aging has brought serious challenges to our country, such as the shortage of manpower and the weakened defense power. In my view, for China, a developing country, the biggest problem is the financial burden. China has entered the aging society long before achieving the goal of building an overall well-off society. To give the elderly a safe and comfortable life, the country’s old-age security system, medical insurance system and pension system should be increasingly improved, which means a huge sum of money. Secondly, the aging population might also be the challenge to individuals and families. The filial children have to spare a large portion of energy and time to support their parents, which will inevitably increase their burden and stress. The impious children can choose to live freely, but leave their parents in the misery.
    The aging population has become a huge threat to the economic development and the improvement of people’s living standards, so it is important for China to cope with the aging problem in advance.
